Things you NEED to do when you want to publish an android game!

Hello guy, I hope you all are doing good...

So after releasing my first android game I actually learned a lot during that process, so I'm here today to share some of the things that you actually NEED to do in order to get some publicity, I did miss these things that's why I ended up with a game no one knew about about.

So we all know how oversaturated the mobile market is, with 1000+ applications and games published every week on the play store, it is close to impossible to actually get noticed in the crowd, so what do you need to do? how to get noticed?

First things first,  once you publish your game, you need to work really hard in it's first 30 days on the google play to get the most out of these days, if you get it to the top of new games charts, you'll get a real initial boost for after these 30 days, if you don't get noticed during this time, consider your game dead, unless you're really lucky, but the real question here is, how do you get it in the Top new charts, that's where the hard work is...

If you release the game without opening your mouth saying you did, tell me, how will people know about it? unless they search directly for it, they may never actually find it, so you need to spread the word, everyone has at least facebook or twitter with some hundreds of friends, spread the word there, tell people to come and try the game and give you some feedback about what they liked and what they didn't like, ask them about what to improve, make a page, encourage them to like it to build your audience, contact reviewers, you never know how important is getting your game on popular sites like pocketgamer or toucharcade or destructoid, it will give you a real intial boost, contact them in a polite way, speak directly to them and don't make yourself sound like you're scamming everyone with the same message, send them some screenshots, send them a promo code, a game trailer or gameplay video, and keep in mind that you're not the only one sending them a message, they have hundreds of people sending them messages everyday for the same reason as you.

Contact youtubers, unless you have a really awesome game, do not contact big youtubers, it's less likely they will even take a look at it, try to contact youtubers that are actually interested in playing indie titles, small youtube reviewers will be happy to review your game too, make friends with everyone you talk too for future releases too, you'll always need it..

Sign up to forums related to the game's platform, which is in our case android, post about it on reddit, droidGamers and many more, a single google search will give you a large least, but the most important thing, do not spam, try to stay like a real developer and not turn yourself into a bot posting the same message everywhere, try to change and get original, you don't know how much of a big thing is getting to the top of reddit, it will give you a real boost, and by real, I mean it, a guy recently got to the top of reddit with his game Not Golf, and you can clearly see where he is now, but the most important thing is, you need to have a good product to grab people's attention...

Thanks for reading, I hope that helps you, and good luck with your projects :)
